Sticker fun: Papier designers get creative with our new editor

There’s something satisfying about stickers. The process of gently peeling your favorites off the page, deliberating about where you’ll place them and securing each proudly in its place. For two of our new academic year planners, we’ve dreamt up some digital stickers to take you back to childhood and bring the experience back to your screens. Watch our how-to video to see how it's done.

We asked our Papier designers to pull out their laptops and try the sticker editor for themselves. Here’s what they had to say…

PLEASE CHANGE ME

Ella, stationery designer
“I wanted my stickers to look really spontaneously placed & a bit chaotic (like me lols) to remind me to have fun and experiment more in my day to day work. I’ve also covered the text box to give a looser feel to the book. I have stickers that make me happy and from brands I love all over my laptop, so I wanted this book to go well with it. I think it does, plus it was so fun to create!”

Katie, stationery designer
“I had so much fun experimenting and creating my own cover design with these beautiful stickers. Flowers and gardening is my favorite thing so these were perfect. I liked the idea that this design also symbolizes personal growth and development which these planners are great for. I also love the watering can and how it looks like it’s watering the flowers – it’s so sweet!”

PLEASE CHANGE ME

Rosie, stationery designer
“I really enjoyed being able to choose exactly how my book would look and love the fact it is personal to me. I played with composition and scale to create a design I can’t wait to see in the flesh. My favorite sticker is the sunshine-shaped ‘offline’ sticker.”

PLEASE CHANGE ME

Georgia, stationery designer
“I love the new sticker editor and designs, which are perfect for academic planners. I wish we had this while I was at college! I created this book how I felt I naturally would if I was physically sticking stickers to something. It’s a bit sporadic and overlapping to create energy and to match the fun vibes of the sticker designs.”

Kat, product designer
“It was really great to play around with the new sticker editor :) The illustrations are such lovely shapes that I used them to create a bespoke frame for the text. The fun was finding the right shaped illustration to fit around the letters, almost like piecing together a puzzle.”
